Lean Management

As commitment to the successful implementation of Lean Practices, organizations are participating in our 100 Day Lean Management Challenge and agree to actively participate in their Lean Transformation by engaging with other managers and employees at all levels of the organization. This is usually a two phase program of; Lean Book Review, followed by Lean Management Team Projects.

Lean Management Book Review   Reading and discussion of one Lean book in the first 100 days. This could be Gemba Kaizen – by Masaaki Imai, or other selected book.  There are a number of Lean books available.  The book will be selected based upon your organizations specific level of Lean maturity.   The Lean Business Coach facilitates weekly book review discussions, participating managers lead Chapter discussion workshops focused on understanding your current Operational Philosophy and contrasting it with a Lean Operational Philosophy.  As the book review workshop progresses, an increasing management awareness of needed Lean improvement programs leads to the definition of Lean Management Team Projects.

Lean Management Team Projects     The book review program will uncover opportunities to advance a Lean management System and Lean Leadership activities. As a participating Manager, each manager leads a 100 Day Lean Process Improvement Team/project.  This approach is designed to instill organizational lean leadership; increase managers understanding of effective Lean Management, and build management-employee co-participation in creating a Lean Operational philosophy.
